Microwave Milktart

You will need:

* 1x Tin Condensed Milk

* 3 full tins of Milk (Using the condensed milk tin as a measure)

* 1 egg, lightly beaten

* 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

* 4 tablespoons corn flour heaped and diluted in a little of the milk

* ½ large packet Tennis biscuits, crushed finely like fine sand

* ⅓ - ½ cup Butter, melted (might need more, depending on your biscuit consistency)

* Ground cinnamon

Method:

1.) Combine the biscuit crumbs with the melted butter.

2.)Transfer the mixture to your chosen dish

3.)Press down firmly on the base & form a crust by pressing the mixture against the sides of your bowl. (If the mixture crumbles and does not hold, add more melted butter until you reach the right consistency)

4.)Set it aside in the fridge until your filling is ready.

Filling:

1.) In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the condensed milk, milk, beaten egg, and cornflour.

2.) Whisk all the ingredients together.

3.)Microwave for 4 minutes. Afterward, remove the bowl and whisk again.

4.) Return the bowl to the microwave, and continue microwaving in 2-minute intervals, whisking each time until the mixture thickens. This should take around 12-15 minutes, depending on your microwave.

5.)To test if the mixture is ready, place a tablespoon of the custard onto a plate. Pull a teaspoon through the middle of the custard—if it forms a channel and does not merge back together, it is cooked and ready to be added to the base.

6.) Once the filling is ready, stir in the vanilla.

7.)Pour the custard mixture over the biscuit base, and smooth the top. Sprinkle over your cinnamon.

8.) Allow the milk tart to cool, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours.

ENJOY!
